Asian Cuisine

   Cooking is a traditional human activities with long history. During this period, the process of cooking changed and divided into different dietary cultures, which involves American dietary culture, European dietary culture and also Asian dietary culture.

    This article is about Asian dietary culture and Asian cuisine. Many Asian cultures share the traditional of gathering the family or clan together to socialize or celebrate over a big meal. However, the various cultures of Asia developed their own ethnic cuisine through the interaction of environment, culture, and history.

     One famous Asian cooking styles is northeast one, which including China, Korea, and Japan. This tradition developed to emphasize using fats, oils, and sauces in cooking. In the northeast dietary culture, the foods, spices, and seasonings go beyond being mere foodstuffs as they are also used as medicines to promote a long and healthy life. In addition, food became associated with many religious traditions as well, as many northeast Asian cultures frequently used food as symbolic offerings to worship their ancestors.

     Especially, "Chinese cuisine has become the most outstanding of all Asian styles of cooking, with several different styles based on region- the most basic difference being between northern and southern styles of Chinese cuisine. Southern dishes emphasize freshness and tenderness while due to the colder weather, northern dishes are relatively oily and the use of vinegar and garlic tends to be more popular.       From my perspective, Asian food cuisines are diverse. The one that attract me most is Northeast Asian cuisines. It involves Chinese cuisine, Korean cuisine and Japanese cuisine. Chinese cuisine is not just like the article mentioned above, it is more like a “precious deposits”. Chinese cuisine has its different cooking styles.
